Gumasta License is the License required to start any kind of business in Mumbai or Maharashtra. The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) issue that license. 1 Proprietorship Firm

2 Partnership Firm

3 Private Company

How to Apply for Gumasta License In Mumbai

Applying for Gumasta license is both online and offline. I would suggest doing it online. There are a lot of CA firms that can help in getting “shops and establishment license” but they charge fees ranging from Rs 1500 to Rs 5000. The online process of getting Gumasta License is not difficult. So you can do it yourself.

1 First, go to the website https://portal.mcgm.gov.in/irj/portal/anonymous/qlshopregFormA. If you already generated a business application number then select yes otherwise select no

2 Then a form will appear which you have to fill.

3 After that, the Challan Number will be generated. Then you pay the fee and print the form containing UTN number.

 

4 Go and submit that form along with the above-mentioned documents to the Shop License Dept. of your local BMC ward.

 

5 An inspector may come to your business location. After the inspection, you will be issued Gumasta License.

 

The offline process is also not that much different. First, you have to download the form from the above-mentioned website. Then fill up the forum and visit your local BMC ward. There you will have to submit the fees and other relevant documents.
